Man sues 2 companies for ice machine door accident

According to a civil complaint that was filed on Jan. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court, a man has filed a lawsuit against two companies for injuries he allegedly sustained. According to the filed documents, the alleged injury incident occurred on Apr. 4, 2013, at a gas station located at 1118 Touhy Avenue in Park Ridge. 

Chicago teacher sues companies for injuries caused by elevator

According to a civil complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court, a Chicago-area charter school teacher is suing Otis Elevator, Schindler Elevator, Stonewater One North State Funding and Transwestern for damages in excess of $50,000. The complaint, filed Dec. 16, 2013, alleges that the woman's hand and arm were badly injured when the elevator door in which she was riding closed unexpectedly, catching her hand in it.

Cook County man trips over pipe, sues

The sidewalks of Chicago are busy places in most areas. Pedestrians, some of whom are in a hurry, walk these sidewalks. When the person responsible for caring for these sidewalks don't properly maintain them, pedestrians can get injured. A recent lawsuit that was filed in the Cook County Circuit Court shows that neglecting to maintain sidewalks can end up with people getting hurt and having to seek compensation from the responsible party.

Negligent maintenance alleged after elevator fall

With the number of floors in many Cook County apartment buildings, having elevators to move up and down makes life a little more pleasant for tenants. When an elevator isn't kept in proper working order, serious injuries can occur.
